You are just half an hour’s train ride Newcastle-upon-Tyne from nearby Alnmouth Station and Edinburgh is only an hour’s ride to the North.
Alnwick, with its medieval architecture, and Morpeth are our neighbouring ancient market towns. Additionally, Craster (famous for its kippers) and Rothbury with Cragside House on its outskirts are must-see villages close by. Then, the beautiful border town of Berwick-upon-Tweed is only an hour’s drive up the coast.
This part of Northumberland is also ideal for cyclists and Amble is well served with bus and taxi services.
Of course, Amble has much to offer too. With its weekend markets, boat trips, local independent shops, marina, water sports centre, soft play area, harbour and pier, it also has a great selection of superb restaurants and cafés.
